Hi! Up to January 2008 I was a senior lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology at RMIT University.
I am now a Senior Program Manager in the Microsoft Bing decision engine team.

I wrote the book Learning MySQL
with Hugh Williams, and published by O'Reilly Media.

I'm bilingual in English and Persian (Farsi), and have a good understanding of Arabic, French, and Urdu (and so spoken Hindi);
a long time ago, I could claim I knew quite a bit of Latin :)
